- Julius Caesar
Because I find it ridiculous that the question is “in all human history” and yet all of the responses are from the last 100 years.
Dude was an absolute badass.
In his youth before becoming a general/dictator, he…
- Was captured by pirates, and when they ransomed him he told them the ransom was too low, so they raised it. When it was ultimately paid, he warned the pirates that he would gather troops and come back and kill them. He did.
2) If we’re actually going strictly by “coolest looking,” I’m amazed no one has said Steve McQueen.
He was the highest paid actor in the world at the time. Was the original Thomas Crown. Dude was literally called “The King of Cool.”
3) This guy qualifies, Samuel Beckett.
This is what old looks like. It is what wisdom looks like. And knowledge. Contemplate the absolute certainty in this man’s eyes. A bird could build a nest in a crease in his face and I doubt if Beckett would even notice. In his youth he was secretary to James Joyce. Later, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for his volume of work including his inimitable contribution to the theater of the absurd. If you ever see one play in your life, see ‘Waiting for Godot’. It is entertainment, par excellence.
4) Phoolan Devi aka. The Bandit Queen
She was born in a low-caste family in a tiny village in Uttar Pradesh, India. She lived a difficult childhood as she was married off at the tender age of 11 to a man in his thirties, then was abducted and gang-raped countless times by her kidnapers. She escaped, became the leader of her own gang, and sought revenge, eventually killing most of her tormentors. She was seen by her fellow untouchables as Devi, a reincarnation of the goddess Durga. A freaking goddess. She was also a threat to the upper-classes, and a symbol of courage to all women.
5) This picture is of, a Cuban revolutionary, and a former right-hand of Fidel Castro.
And he was definitely cool. In fact, his real name was Ernesto Guevara. Che, which has now become a part of his name is actually an Argentinian word which means ‘hey buddy’. Now, how cool is that!
6) How about Frank Sinatra:
Clint Eastwood: common, no one even comes close!
Bruce Lee: He makes us Asians proud. No pretty K-Pop face here. Just pure coolness!
She was beautiful, famous and elegant, but she wasn’t just a pretty face.
She was a model, a ballet dancer, a talented actress and an icon of Hollywood’s Golden Age
Kalpana Chawla- First Indian Women in Space
After finishing school from Karnal, Kalpana pursued a course in aeronautical engineering at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. She moved to the United States in 1982 and obtained a Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas.
AND THEN, there’s
American actor and director, Clint Eastwood, in my opinion looks the coolest.
Have you seen the guy when he was younger?
Look at this guy! Cool as a cucumber. Sharp as a knife. And dresses to impress!
Even when he grew older, he still maintained his cool looks and persona! My personal favorite moment of his would be in ‘Gran Torino’ (2008) when he had his hand-pistol out:
Well, the list never really ends, because a hell lot of amazing people have walked this earth before us, and ofcourse, who will come before us. But here’s a list of some of the coolest personalities ever, if you could think of more, please comment below. Your feedback is always appreciated.
